13X分子筛除能吸附5A分子筛所能吸附的物质外，还能吸附CHCl3、CHBr3、CHI3、CCl4、CBr4、C6H6、N-C3F8、C(CH3)4、C(CH3)3OH、仲丁醇、环乙烷、异构烷烃、甲苯等。由于具有很高的催化活性，可用于催化剂的载体。主要用于气体的干燥与净化，空分装置原料气的净化（同时去除H₂O和CO₂），液态碳氢化合物和天燃气的脱硫（去除硫化氢和硫醇），催化剂载体。
